New Odyssey Trailer & More Smallville News! (8/30/08)
The CW has finally released the Odyssey trailer which you can find below! We also have new spoilers from 8-1 to 8-8 below in our spoilers section.  Also, if you haven't heard yet, "Maxima" has been cast and her name is Charlotte Sullivan. Additionally, an exclusive clip from the Season 7 dvd has been released with a sit down with all of the past and present Jimmy Olsen's. You can find it below in our video section on this page! Comic-Con Brings Smallville Fun! (7/30/08)
With Comic-Con 2008, came lots of Smallville goodness, and we have lots of info, first off, Kryptonsite has some great interview summaries of Justin Hartley, Sam Witwer, Producers & More.
Some other tidbits include that Allison Mack will be directing this season, you will see Justin Hartley with a beard on an island, the opportunity to use Lois for lots more episodes than 12-13 could happen, and the DC character Maxima will be used this season! There were lots of great vids that came out of Comic-Con too! The biggest was the trailer summary for season 8 which I have put below, but the panels were also documented too and I have put the links to those on the video section of this page below, so check those out!

Lots of Smallville Updates! (7/29/08)
First of all, the premiere date for Season 8 of Smallville has been confirmed for Sept. 18th! We have new titles and info for episode 1-5 of Season 8 now, so check the lower right hand side of this page for those updates under the "Episode Discussions" and yes they are spoilery! For Lana fans, it has been confirmed that Kristin Kreuk will return this season for 5 episodes during Nov. sweeps!

Superman Sequel and DC News! (7/11/08)
Just to let everyone know, Louis Leterrier is not directing the sequel. It was a rumor floating around yesterday and since has been squashed. Also, the sequel is looking for extras, yup, I said "EXTRAS." Omel Courtesy Casting in Omaha is looking for extras and their call read "A sequel to the summer 2006 action adventure. Bryan Singer returns to direct with Brandon Routh again playing Clark Kent/Superman. Stand Ins/Extras Needed."-Source "SupeHomepage"

Smallville Confusion & News (Spoiler)! (7/11/08)
Well, it seems as though some confusion happened when the premiere date for Smallville was shown as Oct. 2nd on last night's repeat of "Gemini" on the CW. I have to admit I think that is a mistake since for the most part it always premieres right before or after my bday in Sept, but we will let you know what we find out! Also, Ausiello revealed in his vodcast that Chloe will be involved in a love triangle and she will be proposed to by either "Doomsday" or Jimmy and she will say "YES" to this proposal next season so a wedding may be possible! Also, Comic-Con is next weekend and scheduled to appear is Alison Mack, Justin Hartley and Sam Witwer (Doomsday). Also, new clips will be shown. We will bring you live coverage from our friends at Starkville since due to medical reasons I could not travel this year!

More Season 8 Smallville Updates! (7/9/08)
First off, the new season will begin September 18th, one day before my birthday, what a B-day present!  Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello has revealed that we may have a Chloe/Doomsday/Jimmy love triangle brewing. Also, regarding Lois and Clark at the Daily Planet: "There will be a lot more comedy this season, courtesy of those new adventures Lois and Clark will be embarking on."Also, TV Guide has their annual Sci-Fi issue coming out July 14th with SV, season 8 news, so look for that! In that issue, they have named Tom Welling #1 on a list of "Interstellar Bodies that Rock Our World" so I am running to get the issue now!

Sorry, I haven't been on to update in a while but there is lots to talk about. First, we have updated the Smallville season 8 discussion section on the lower right-hand side of this page with tons of new info on a new romance for Season 8, the return of the Justice League, Martian Manhunter, and more! Also, we have updated with news on episodes 1 & 2! Last, but not least, we have a new musician and artist (fanvidder) of the month for July! Check them out as they are both talented! Mark Millar to Do Superman for 2011? (7/1/08)
In a recent interview with the Daily Record, Millar said "Since I was a kid I've always wanted to reinvent Superman for the 21st century," Millar said. "I've been planning this my entire life. I've got my director and producer set up, and it'll be 2011. This is how far ahead you have to think. The Superman brand is toxic after that last movie lost [money], but in 2011 we're hoping to restart it. Sadly I can't say who the director is, but we may make it official by Christmas." Christopher Reeve's Legacy Lives On! (6/30/08)
Christopher Reeve's battle to find a cure for paralysis still lives on and "MailOnline" did a great article with some wonderful pictures about his struggle and committment. Remembering Michael Turner! (6/29/08)
Michael Turner, a famous artist and comic writer died a few days ago from his battle with cancer. He was only 37 years old and many remember his goal to bring Kara back to the DC Universe which he did. He was also at the Wizard World last year in Philadelphia where fans lined the walls to meet him. What a great guy! Anyway, he will surely be missed and in honor of his life, Jeph Loeb sent in a "Letter" that you can read under the link! Below is a cover Michael did.

Smallville News! Villains & More! (6/20/08)
Sam Witwer and Cassidy Freeman have now been cast as "Doomsday" and "Tess" for Smallville, Season 8. To read the official press release about this casting news, head "here"! Their pictures are below. Also, seems like Smallville may be at the 2008 Comic Con in San Diego this July. Most likely, the panel will be on Sunday, so head to "Comic-Con" to get tickets. This is just a rumor as of now!


Superman Sequel Script Now Being Written? (6/19/08)
According to "CoventryTelegraph," "In an interview with Hollywood.com to promote new horror anthology series Fear Itself, he was first asked about the Justice League Mortal movie, which seems to have been shelved. He said: "I think it seems as though that's not happening, it's on the backburner right now so it's just Man of Steel now." The interviewer then asked him when he was doing the next Superman, and said the project was taking a long time. Routh, 28, responded: "I know, they're busy writing a script and then I trust we'll be starting next year, early next year. That's my timeline anyway."

Smallville Nominated for 4 Teen Choice Awards! (Vote Now!) (6/17/08)

Kevin Spacey to Teach At Oxford! (6/17/08)
According to Business-Standard.com, "Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey has been named as the next Cameron Mackintosh Visiting Professor of Contemporary Theatre based at St Catherine's College, Oxford. He will succeed actor Patrick Stewart.  "It is an honour for me to have been invited to follow such illustrious names and take up this role at Oxford," Kevin Spacey said after accepting the appointment."  To learn more, head to the link above!

Aaron Ashmore in "The Thaw"! (6/16/08)
According to Cinematical.com, "We've got a new cautionary environmental tale on the way, but this time, it's in the realms of thriller territory. The Thaw is coming -- where the melting of the polar ice caps releases something creepy. New Smallville Updates! (6/13/08)
First off, who should Clark be with, Lois or Lana. Well, that has been among debate for awhile now and even though we all know who Superman's true love is, in the world of Smallville, everything is up to chance. Well, buddytv.com, wants to know what you think, head to the previous link to vote! Also, let us know what you think on our tagboard on the righthand side of this page. Also, according to TVGuide, "I am hearing that Erica Durance's sitch remains "the same as always" — that is, she'll do 13 or so episodes — though there is a slight chance we may eke out an extra one or two." Terrence Stamp (Zod/Jor-El)  Discusses His Cult Idol Status! (6/12/08)
"Veteran English actor Terence Stamp isn’t the first performer you’d think of to play the silly bad guy in a spy spoof. Sure, he was the vile villain General Zod in the 1970s Superman flicks. But that was serious business. Still, Stamp gets his lampoonish sneer on as Ziegfried, an operative of the evil crime syndicate KAOS in the updated Get Smart which opens next Friday. Stamp learned from the Superman gig to never say never. That Zod part, which he hesitated accepting at first, rejuvenated his career and made him a pop culture reference he may never shake. Green Arrow Back for Season 8! (6/2/08)
According to E! Online's Kristin Veitch, "Do you have any early scoop for next season on Smallville?
Yep! It's not easy being green, but apparently it pays to be Green Arrow. My sources tell me that Justin Hartley will be back on Smallville as Green Arrow/Oliver Queen for the majority of the season." I have to admit, I am happy about that and maybe it will mean a return for the JLA!

Interesting New Update on Chopra Rumor! (5/30/08)
Now, it seems the rumor has changed, according to MovieWeb, "Indian actress Priyanaka Chopra may be going from Bollywood to Metropolis if the latest rumblings are to be believed. According a report in Zee News, Chopra has been offered the role of Superman's love interest in Superman: The Man of Steel. Officially, Chopra and the studios aren't saying anything, but according to sources the actress has been offered the role and has almost accepted. The role will be that of a lady scientist who will be romantically involved with the Man of Steel." So, it seems that maybe she won't be taking over Lois Lane after all! Interesting Rumor! New Lois Lane? (5/28/08)
According to "ZeeNews," The sultry beauty is the latest Indian sensation after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to have caught foreign attention as she prepares to romance none other than Superman.
And no we aren’t joking. Priyanka Chopra is likely to play Superman’s love interest in the flick’s upcoming sequel. According to our sources, Priyanka has been offered the role of Superman’s leading lady in the latest sequel and she has almost given her final nod though the official statement is yet to be released." Smallville Gets 2 Leo Awards! (5/27/08)
Smallville has been awarded two Leo Awards, honoring the best in Canadian productions. In the awards ceremony this past weekend, Smallville took the award for Best Dramatic Series, as well as Best Cinematography in a Dramatic Series, which went to Glen Winter for "Noir." Congratulations Smallville for these 2 honors!


Brandon Routh Stars in New Series!  (5/27/08)
"Starz Prods. has launched production of ensemble comedy "Table for Three," with Brandon Routh, Sophia Bush, Jesse Bradford, Jennifer Morrison, Johnny Galecki and Lisa Lapira. Michael Samonek directs from his own screenplay. Story centers on a suddenly single young man who invites a "perfect couple" to share his large apartment, only to see them completely disrupt his life when they insert themselves into his new romance. Smallville DVD Season 7 News! (5/21/08)
Smallville Season 7 DVD will be released on September 9, 2008. You can preorder it now. All you have to do is head to the lower righthand side of this page and look for the link! Also, in this DVD, will be extras including a featurette on Supergirl, a "Jimmy on Jimmy" featurette, and the Smallville Legends Mobisodes. As of now, there is no mention of any commentary on this DVD,  but we will keep you posted!


New Green Arrow Film? (5/21/08)
According to "CoventryTelegraph.net," "Details are emerging of a new superhero movie project called Green Arrow: Escape from Supermax, a brilliant film concept in which the DC Comics superhero archer is locked up in a hi-tech prison packed with an amazing array of comicbook villains. It's a very fresh and incredibly promising idea for a superhero movie and a great way to bring Green Arrow - seen in Smallville played by Justin Hartley - to the big screen." John Williams Scoring New Superman Sequel? (5/20/08)
According to "ScreenRant," "Interestingly, according to their sources, John Williams is  also lined up to do the music for the Superman Returns sequel Superman: Man of Steel. Normally, I wouldn't make mention of a random blurb such as that, however I received word a few weeks back that Williams was indeed meeting with Warner Brothers about possibly working on the music for Man of Steel. Of course, the Superman sequel is still in early stages of development - director Bryan Singer and the studio are meeting with writers on the project. And there are those who don't think it'll get made to begin with. But the fact that the Globe brought it up on their own is a bit too coincidental."

Chloe is In, Supergirl Out? (5/18/08)
According to SyFyPortal.com, "A sigh of relief could be heard by "Smallville" fans when Allison Mack's return for next season was finally confirmed. Unfortunately Laura Vandervoort's return as Kara (aka Supergirl) is not so certain. In fact, the recent The CW upfront presentation made it clear that even if Vandervoort is back, it won't be as a series regular. "They announced the cast ... and I'm not a part of it," Vandervoort told TV Guide. Aaron Ashmore Shooting New Film & Smallville Season 8! (5/14/08)
According to Canada.com, Aaron Ashmore and Haylie Duff are filming a new film as we speak called "Deep Cove" which is a teen thriller. According to the news, "Ashmore and Duff bonded on this set after realizing that their sibs -- Shawn and Duff's younger sister Hilary -- had made a Disney TV movie together six years ago." Brandon Routh spoke to IESB.net, recently about his new film, "Dead of Night." "Dylan Dog is being reintroduced to a whole new movie going audience in the new film "Dead of Night" with Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) set to star and Kevin Munroe (TMNT) at the helm backed by Platinum Studios and Hyde Park." Smallville Updates: Casting and Is Chloe Out Next Season? (5/8/08)
Kryptonsite has an official press release from the CW about two new characters for next season, one a major villain and one, well it could be a nod to the Reeve films. To read it click, "here"! Now, on for  the big news, according to Ausiello from TV Guide, Allison Mack's camp is using Rosenbaum's departure as leverage for her to get a better deal or she is leaving as well for season 8. Smallville Season 8 Spoilers!

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello explains the plot of "Prey" with more detail: "Clark and Chloe find themselves on opposing sides when a serial killer starts wreaking havoc on Metroplis in this season's sixth episode. Clark suspects Davis/Doomsday is the culprit, but Chloe's having none of it. Strengthening Clark's resolve: D/D just so happens to blackout whenever there's a new murder."

Episode Seven: "Identity" (October 30th!)
Darren Swimmer tells E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos: "There's an episode where Jimmy will think he sees something and starts connecting it to Clark, and Clark has to dig himself out of it. That starts Clark thinking that maybe it would be wise to have a secret identity. He starts embracing the idea that there's someone out there saving people. He's not denying that completely anymore, he's just not ready to tell anyone it's him. And that makes this year very exciting for us." Sam Witwer (Davis Bloome) is not in this episode, but all of the other series regulars will be present. Casting notices have gone out for the role of this episode's bad guy, "Sebastian." They're also looking for a Mugger.

Episode Eight: "BloodLine" (Nov. 6th!)
All of the regular cast members except for Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy) appear in this episode.
Executive Producer Darren Swimmer has said in an interview with E! Online that Kara returns in either episode #8-8 or #8-9. This could be the one where Kara comes back; or, she may be in the Legion episode instead, assuming that is still scheduled to be #9.
